Materials & Tools

To crochet Steve the Rabbit, you will need:

  • Yarn: Half-cotton yarn (e.g. YarnArt Jeans or Alize Cotton Gold)
  • Hook: 1.75–2.50 mm (choose what feels comfortable)
  • Needle for assembly
  • Eyes:
  • Black beads, 6 mm (2 pcs), or
  • Safety eyes / half-beads
  • Filler for toys
  • Tailor’s pins

Heel Shaping

  • Row 10: Turn work, SC 8

Body Notes:

Assembly

  1. Head: Sew head to body first
  2. Upper Paws: Sew at approximately row 27
  3. Lower Paws:
  • Attach at rows 5–7
  • Sew tightly and symmetrically
  1. Ears:
  • Sew upright or drooping
  • Fold in half for a natural crease
  1. Overalls Strap:
  • Chain ~30 CH
  • Leave 10 cm threads on both ends
  • Sew under front loops of row 18

Final Thoughts

  • Finished height: 24–25 cm (with half-cotton yarn & 2.0 mm hook)
  • Size may vary depending on yarn and hook
