Sausage and Potato Casserole

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom (or chicken) soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
  3. Assemble the Casserole:
  • In the greased baking dish, layer half of the potato slices.
  • Sprinkle half of the onions, bell peppers, and sausage slices over the potatoes.
  • Pour half of the soup mixture over this layer, spreading it evenly.
  • Repeat with the remaining potatoes, onions, bell peppers, sausage, and soup mixture.
  1. Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
  2. Add Cheese: Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  3. Garnish and Serve: Let the casserole cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!
